About Us

buildingWhile we have no direct connection to conifers, we do feel a strong commitment to doing what we can to make this a better world. Employing our geek powers to improve upon present technologies, we find ways to recycle parts or make them last much longer than the OEM version. Today, most companies talk about “going green.” While it may be the hip thing to do, most corporate green programs are often operated at a financial cost to the organization. Companies pursue these programs none the less because of public pressure coupled with the fact that it is the right thing to do for the planet.

At Evergreen Technologies, assisting companies in making ecologically sound choices is the primary goal of the company. We are dedicated to producing products and technologies which enable Wide Format service companies to build upon their present green programs. However, instead of adding to a company’s financial burden, Evergreen Technologies offers cost saving products that are intrinsically more eco-friendly than their OEM equivalents.

Evergreen Technologies’ principle is Carl Byrne. The majority of Carl’s career has been invested in the Wide Format industry. For nearly thirty years, Carl worked for Xerox Corporation in their Engineering Products Division. During that time, Carl served in a variety of technical and management positions. After leaving Xerox, Carl joined RPG, the leading Xerox Wide Format dealer in Maryland, as their Director of Technical Operations.

Throughout his career, Carl has focused upon ways to economize in the servicing of Xerox Wide Format equipment. In recent years, Carl has worked diligently to improve upon existing technologies or determine techniques for rebuilding high cost parts. These efforts have resulted in cost savings, and the elimination of waste. As a foundation for Evergreen Technologies, Carl has combined his extensive knowledge and expertise with that of other forward thinking organizations, to bring cost saving, green alternatives to the Wide Format service industry.

For anyone in the Xerox Wide Format community, the name Bill Everline is synonymous with the adage “Read All The Words!” Bill has met or directly trained virtually every wide format technician who has passed through Xerox’s Leesburg training facility. Bill retired from Xerox in December 2008 but was not interested in leaving the wide format world behind completely. Bill began offering onsite training to dealers on a full range of Xerox Wide Format products. In April of 2009, Bill joined Evergreen Technologies. Armed with his considerable knowledge, Bill provides sales and technical support to the customers of Evergreen Technologies. Together, Bill and Carl offer nearly seventy years of technical expertise. (They look it too!) The dynamic duo are dedicated to advancing the reliability and sustainability of Xerox Wide Format products through innovative and ecologically aware thinking.
